Carole Manero

Head of Wireless Practice

Carole has been at the forefront of the telecom revolution since 2000, tracking every major milestone in mobile technology. From the launch of 3G, 4G, and 5G to the upcoming 6G era, she has played a key role in driving innovation and strategy. Her expertise spans network deployment strategies, service development, and spectrum management—critical pillars for the telecom industry’s growth.

Carole has contributed to high-profile European initiatives such as 5G Public Private Partnerships (5G PPP), Smart Networks and Services (SNS) for 6G, the 5G Observatory, 5G for Smart Communities (5GSC), and Connecting Europe Facility programme(CEF), helping shape policy and market evolution.

Beyond research, she works closely with clients to define strategic positions and craft actionable plans that boost growth over the next five years. Before joining IDATE, Carole worked in Orano’s North American corporate strategy team, leading several acquisition projects in the nuclear sector.

She holds dual master’s degrees, a MSc in Management, Marketing & Finance – EDHEC Business School, and a MSc in Human Resources & Corporate Management – ESCP Business School.
